Our riding excursions take place a 2 hour car ride from the Rainforest Academy . A historical, very well preserved coffee plantation offers the perfect framework for scenic and memorable riding excursions. Upon arriving the Fazenda offers a opulent lunchon in the original salon. After lunch the visitors are introduced to the basics of the riding art. After being taught to saddle and rein the horses, choosing a horse to suit the individual, we start the ride. Over the next3 to 4 hours we ride over the hills and through wonderful countryside and visit some old coffee plantations. In addition we experience some great cattle herds close enough to touch. To conclude our visit we take coffee and cake on the veranda of the Fazenda.
